Artistic fieldwork is seeing the process as the artwork, the artwork as data and data as a starting point for art. With this cyclic approach, Pollif Projects develops transdisciplinary art projects from a non-human and deeply human perspective. Pollif Projects is collaborating with scientists, universities, theaters and musea to bring the practices of artists and scientists closer together.
Step 1
By aligning our personal drives, we connect to the topic at hand, not just as professionals, but as likeminded people. Scientists can be poets, artworks can be data. We invite you to use your creativity instantly and as a source of further study.

Step 2
The process is poetry as well. We want to share the steps necessary to make the final work, within that work. By documenting, artistically and factually, we make the process visible.

Step 3
A work should be a moment of connection. We want people to come together and be surprised, touched, angered or amazed by the source of the work. We stimulate scientists and other non-artists to join us in a moment of sharing. By creating live and performative moments, we emphasize being alive, allowing for failure, suprise and spontaneity.

Do you need an artistic view on your research? Would your organization like to make their hands dirty? In need of a metaphor? Invite Pollif Projects into your own process or ask for our help to make a creative translation.
